In the Journal of the American Medical Association Psychiatry, a team of researchers from Imperial College London and the universities of Beijing and Oxford published the findings of their study on air pollution and its link to mental health. Researchers conducted the study on around 500,000 adults in the UK for more than 11 years and monitored how many times they experienced anxiety and depression. They discovered that people who resided in places where air pollution levels are higher had more probability of going through mental health-related issues.
